Configure iPhone or iPod Touch for use with 802.1X CampusWLAN from HS RM (on Mac OS X 10.5)

With this configuration guide you can configure your iPhone or iPod Touch via Mac OS X 10.5 for the CampusWLAN of the Hochschule Rhein-Main.

The actual configuration guide for desktop computers can be found here.

    Necessary previous steps:

    1. Download Telekom Certificate (if you have not already done so).
    2. Download iPhone Configuration Utility from Apple
    3. Install and open iPhone Configuration Utility

    Create new profile:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss001

Use the name you like. I used CampusWLAN twice:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss003

    Go to Wi-Fi:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss004

Enter CampusWLAN as SSID, choose Company WPA/WPA2 and select (only) PEAP:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss005

Click on Identification and enter your ITC user name:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss006

    Go to Certificates:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss007

Add the certificate from Deutsche Telekom:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss008

Go back to Wi-Fi, choose Trustworthiness and tick Deutsche Telekom Root CA 2:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss011

Choose your iPhone or iPod Touch in the left column, go to Configuration Profile and click the Install button:
    iPhone-KonfigurationsprogrammSchnappschuss012

Finish the installation on your device and enter your ITC password (Keep in my mind: You cannot use your root password. You must have created a user password before.)
